Costs

Costs are predictable. Prior to your procedure, we will make an agreement with you that binds us bindingly to our once-established cost estimate, which as a rule is settled by you before the procedure is carried out.

Binding cost commitment

The legislator does not allow a price list to be published, as this could create the impression that the "commodity" of beauty can be purchased. However, the Therapeutic Products Advertising Act does not stand in the way of a binding cost commitment after an examination.

Upon request, we can provide you with the price range for the individual procedures.

Quality as the standard

Please expect highly valuable treatment of the highest standard at the FORUM Klinik. We make every conceivable effort with the goal of achieving the highest possible quality of consultation and treatment.

What determines the total cost

The total costs depend on the effort required for the treatment. Some procedures, such as a breast reduction or an abdominoplasty, are always performed by us on an inpatient basis. On the other hand, a breast augmentation or a rhinoplasty can also be performed on an outpatient or day-care basis.

Although an eyelid correction can easily be performed on an outpatient basis and under local anesthesia, some patients request general anesthesia or twilight sedation, or prefer inpatient care.

Assumption of costs by health insurance companies

The costs for medically necessary procedures are covered by private or statutory health insurance companies, depending on the catalog of benefits and any contractual agreements. However, medically indicated services are not always covered by insurance. For those with statutory health insurance, we are responsible for reviewing the circumstances. For privately insured patients, it is advisable to obtain a detailed cost commitment from the insurance provider before an intervention.

We have many years of experience and can help you assess the chances of having a service recognized as an insurance benefit. Unfortunately, by no means is every medically necessary measure covered by insurance: from other areas, everyone knows classically medically indicated services that are not always paid for by health insurance companies – dental prosthetics, glasses, or laser eye surgery for vision correction.

Sometimes there are also combinations of medically indicated services to be billed to the insurance company and aesthetic treatment, e.g., in rhinoplasty. Here, the measures that serve to treat the ventilation disorder are usually covered by insurance. Aesthetically desired changes are then additionally paid for privately.

On the part of the statutory health insurance companies, we are only authorized for outpatient treatment. We do not offer treatment under occupational accident insurance (Berufsgenossenschaft).

Consultation fee

For an individual and detailed consultation and examination regarding aesthetic questions, we charge a consultation fee according to the GOÄ of €46.90. This enables us to advise you neutrally and independently of our own interests in the long term. We do not conduct a sales pitch, but instead analyze your personal situation and work out the best solution with you – even if this may mean that we jointly come to the conclusion to pursue no treatment or only a minor one.

Consultations for medical issues are billed through the responsible health insurance company.
