Overview of the treatment
The most important facts

Surgery Duration: approx. 45–60 min. Anesthesia: Local anesthesia ± sedation (general anesthesia upon request)
Thread pulling: approx. Day 5–7

Suitable if...
Hooded eyelids can burden the gaze or make makeup application difficult.
can be noticeable in the evening as a sensation of heaviness or tiredness on the eyelids.
You desire a calm, natural eyelid crease – without a "made-up" impression.
Giving up smoking and consistent aftercare are possible for healing.
Note: If there is also a deep-set brow arch, a brow lift may be sensible. We will clarify this in the consultation.
Methods & Variants
Remove excess skin, define eyelid crease:
The incision is precisely made along the natural upper eyelid crease; a fine strip of skin is removed, subtly emphasizing the crease.Fine correction of muscles/fat pads:
If necessary, a narrow muscle portion is tightened and prominent fat pads are gently reduced – for a smooth eyelid contour.Brow-lid balance:
The position of the eyebrow is taken into account in the planning; in cases of pronounced brow hollows, a brow lift may be combined or recommended separately.

Process – Step by Step
Consultation
We discuss wishes and concerns, analyze eyelid skin, fat distribution, and brow position, and explain options, limitations, and the healing process – calmly and transparently.
Preparation
Photo documentation, precise marking of the eyelid crease while sitting, information, instructions on medications/blood thinners, cooling, sleeping position, and behavior in the first days.
Treatment/Surgery
Under local anesthesia (if necessary, with twilight sleep), the incision in the eyelid crease, the precise removal of skin, and – if intended – fine correction of muscle/fat pads will be performed. Skin closure with fine stitches, cooling, and final check.
Initial Aftercare
Targeted cooling intervals, ointment/drops therapy according to plan, rest, and elevated positioning of the head. Suture removal from day 5–7, makeup upon approval, sun protection for the scar. Follow-up appointments are firmly scheduled.
Healing process
After a few days, swelling and bruising will noticeably subside; the suture removal occurs after about 5–7 days.
After two weeks, most traces can be well concealed; make-up is possible after approval.
After one to three months, the scar appears soft and lighter; residual swelling subsides.
After six to twelve months, the final result is evident.

Risks & Safety
In the short term, swelling, bruising, feeling of tension, and temporary dryness/tearing are common. Rarely, secondary bleeding, asymmetries, conjunctival irritation, discomfort in dry eyes, or scarring abnormalities may occur. We minimize risks through careful marking, tissue-conserving techniques, clear cooling and care instructions, and close monitoring.
Avoiding smoking, refraining from blood thinners after consultation, and sun protection of the scar are important. In case of warning signs (sudden worsening pain, unilateral severe swelling, vision deterioration), please report immediately – you have a clear emergency pathway.

Combinations & Alternatives (optional)
Browlift in case of low eyebrow position
Lower eyelid tightening for bags/wrinkles under the eyes
Skin treatments (peels/laser) for fine wrinkles of the upper eyelid (staggered over time)
Botulinum for eyebrow positioning and for forehead/glabellar lines (if necessary)
