4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our websites use so-called "cookies." Cookies are small text files that do not harm your device. They are either temporarily stored for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them or an automatic deletion occurs through your web browser.
Additionally, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you access our page (third-party cookies). These allow us or you to use certain services of the third party (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies serve various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not operate without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to analyze user behavior or display advertisements.
Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or for providing certain functions desired by you (functional cookies, e.g., for the shopping cart function) or for optimizing the website (e.g., cookies for measuring web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent for the storage of cookies has been requested, the storage of the relevant cookies takes place solely on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR); the consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or generally, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
As far as cookies from third parties or for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you separately about this within the framework of this privacy policy and possibly ask for consent.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits to us automatically. These are:
Browser type and browser version
used operating system
Referrer URL
Hostname of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
IP address
A consolidation of this data with other data sources will not be carried out.
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically flawless presentation and optimization of their website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.
Contact form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass these data on without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided that your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), if this was requested.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases (e.g., after processing your inquiry has been completed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular, retention periods – remain unaffected.
Request by email, phone or fax
If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your request along with all resulting personal data (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your concern. We do not share this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries directed to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested.
The data you transmit to us through contact inquiries will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases (e.g., after completing the handling of your concern). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular, statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. If consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
The information collected by Matomo about the use of this website will not be shared with third parties.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
If you have given your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).
Google Analytics enables us to analyze user behavior on our website. In this context, usage data (e.g., page views, interactions, approximate origin by region), technical information (e.g., browser, operating system, referrer, screen resolution), as well as a shortened or non-permanently stored IP address are processed. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies for this purpose.
The use of Google Analytics takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future (e.g., via the cookie settings).
Contract Processing / Transfer to Third Countries
We have concluded the necessary data processing agreements with Google. It cannot be ruled out that data may be transmitted to the USA. In such cases, Google bases data transmissions on appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses and/or EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable).
Request/Marketing Funnels via Perspective (Perspective Funnels)
For specific inquiry and marketing funnels (e.g. interactive questionnaires/lead forms), we use the service "Perspective". The provider is Perspective Software GmbH, Müggelstraße 22, 10247 Berlin, Germany ("Perspective").
If you use such a funnel, the following data will be processed depending on the specific design:
technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type/version, operating system, date and time of access, referrer),
interaction/context data (e.g. clicks, selections made),
contents of the fields you filled out (e.g. name, contact details, and other information depending on the form),
any files you may have uploaded.
The purpose of processing is to provide the funnel pages as well as to process your request and, if applicable, to initiate the contract.
The legal basis is – depending on the individual case – our legitimate interest in the technically error-free provision (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) as well as your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) and/or the implementation of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Contract processing / transfer to third countries
We have entered into a contract for order processing (AVV) with Perspective. Perspective processes data primarily on European servers; however, it cannot be ruled out that access from third countries (e.g. USA) is possible within the framework of subcontractors. Suitable guarantees (e.g. standard contractual clauses and/or EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable) are implemented for such cases.
Storage duration
Your information will be stored as long as it is necessary for processing the request or until you withdraw your consent and no statutory retention obligations are opposed.

Online appointment booking through arzt-direkt (tomedo)
For online appointment booking, we use the service "arzt-direkt" (tomedo). The provider is zollsoft GmbH, Ernst-Haeckel-Platz 5/6, 07745 Jena, Germany ("zollsoft").
When you book an appointment online through our website, the data you enter (e.g., name, contact information, appointment request, and any free text entries) will be processed for the purpose of appointment management. Additionally, technical data (e.g., IP address, browser/device, timestamp) may be collected.
The legal basis is the execution of pre-contractual measures or the fulfillment of a contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). If health data (special categories of personal data) are processed as part of the appointment booking, this will occur – if necessary – in accordance with Art. 9 para. 2 GDPR in conjunction with the relevant national regulations.
Order processing / Notes
We have concluded a contract for order processing (AVV) with the provider. Depending on the integration, the appointment booking may take place in an embedded module or you will be redirected to the arzt-direkt pages. In this case, the provider's privacy notices shall additionally apply.
YouTube with extended privacy
This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store information about the visitors to this website before they view the video. However, the transfer of data to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced privacy mode. Thus, YouTube – regardless of whether you are watching a video – establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network.
As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. The YouTube server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, YouTube may store various cookies on your device or use similar recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting) after starting a video. In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud attempts.
Subsequent data processing operations may be triggered after starting a YouTube video, to which we have no influence.
The use of YouTube is in the interest of presenting our online offerings attractively. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing occurs exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
For more information on data protection at YouTube, please refer to their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
