Overview of the treatment

Flat, firm belly

Excess skin and protrusion are reduced - the silhouette appears calmer.

Defined waist

Contours are harmonized; clothing falls more beautifully again.

Stabilizer core

Correction of a rectus diastasis can improve posture and trunk tension.

Everyday noticeably easier

Less moisture in skin folds; more freedom of movement.

Suitable if...

  • after pregnancy or weight reduction there is a surplus of skin with wrinkles/apron.

  • the belly is still protruding despite training – an indication of a rectus diastasis.

  • Stretch marks in the lower abdomen are bothersome (some can be removed).

  • Weight is stable and quitting smoking is possible (healing).

Method & Variants

  • Mini Abdominoplasty
Firming of the lower abdomen without repositioning the navel; suitable for moderate skin excess below the navel.

  • Classic Abdominoplasty
Firming above and below the navel with repositioning of the navel; standard for pronounced skin laxity.

  • Lipoabdominoplasty
Combination with liposuction for edge/waist shaping – for softer transitions.

  • Extended Variants (e.g., Fleur-de-lis)
In cases of massive weight reduction when there are vertical and horizontal excesses (individual indication).

  • Rectus Diastasis Correction
Plication of the abdominal muscle fascia (“internal corset”) for stabilization – when anatomically sensible.

Which variant is suitable will be decided after measurement, photographic documentation, and target image.

Process – 4 Steps

Consultation

We discuss goals, complaints, and expectations, examine skin quality, fat distribution, and signs of a rectus diastasis. We explain the scar, navel technique, possible combinations (liposuction), and the healing process – calmly and transparently.

Preparation

Photo documentation, measurements, and if necessary, additional diagnostics; adjusting the compression garment, advice on quitting smoking, medication, fasting. We explain the first days after surgery (slight bending position, early mobilization) and plan your follow-ups.

Treatment/Surgery

Under general anesthesia, we remove excess skin/fat tissue, stabilize the midline of the abdomen (plication) if necessary, and reposition the navel. Transitions are modeled smoothly (if necessary liposuction). Scars are placed deep in the bikini area; drains only if needed. Care with compression garment.

Initial Aftercare

Pain/swelling management, thrombosis prophylaxis, early gentle mobilization. Compression garment for 6 weeks, wound/scar care as directed. Follow-ups are scheduled; activity will be gradually increased.

Healing process

After one week, the sensation in the limb and swelling usually decrease; you alternate between bending and standing upright while consistently wearing the support garment.

After one month, daily life is usually possible again; light exercise after clearance.

After three to six months, the contours and scar significantly settle; sensations of tension continue to reduce.

After twelve months, the scar maturation is complete; the result appears refined.

Risks & Safety

Like any operation, a tummy tuck carries risks. In the first few weeks, swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tension as well as temporary changes in sensitivity in the lower abdomen are normal. Wound healing disorders and seromas, especially in cases of smoking, pronounced laxity, or premature strain, may occur – we mitigate this with tissue-sparing techniques, preventive measures (e.g., thrombosis protection), and close monitoring.

Specifically, scar abnormalities, dog-ears (lateral skin peaks), asymmetries, and necroses of the skin edge or fatty tissue (especially with nicotine) as well as temporary numbness around the navel/lower abdomen may occur; sensitivity usually recovers gradually. Regardless, there are general surgical/anesthetic risks (infection, bleeding, thrombosis/embolism). We will clarify your individual risk profile during the appointment and provide clear information on warning signs as well as an emergency procedure – you are not alone with your questions.

Combinations & Alternatives (optional)

  • Liposuction (waist/side shaping, “Lipoabdominoplasty”)

  • High-Definition Liposculpting (separately, if visible definition is desired – selective indication)

  • Breast Surgeries (as part of a “Mommy Makeover”, simultaneously or staggered – individual planning)
