Thigh Lift
Tighten excess skin, reduce friction and wrinkles, clearly outline the contour of the inside – with discreet scar management and harmonious shaping.
Overview of the treatment
The most important facts

Operation Duration: approx. 120–180 min. Anesthesia: General anesthesia

Compression clothing: 6 weeks

Suitable if...
after weight loss or with increasing skin laxity, excess skin on the inner thighs is bothersome.
Friction, sweating, or skin irritations in the groin/thigh area affect daily life.
after liposuction, there is still excess skin (or liposuction alone is not sufficient).
Weight is stable and cessation of smoking is possible (healing).
Methods & Variants
Mini-Lift (Groin Fold)
Horizontal cut in the natural groin fold – suitable for mild excess skin near the groin; scar is covered by underwear/bikini.Medial Lift (vertical)
Vertical scar along the inside (often in addition to the groin fold), when the excess is pronounced along the thigh; we adapt the extent and course to your anatomy.Extended Lift
For massive excess after significant weight loss; individually planned incision technique, possibly combined.Combination with Liposuction
For contour refinement at the edges and for softer transitions; we precisely define the sequence and areas.
Which variant makes sense will be decided after measurement, skin/tissue assessment, and target image.

Process – Step by Step
Pre-consultation
We discuss goals, complaints, and questions, examine skin quality and soft tissues, document the findings, and explain scar management, healing progress, and realistic outcomes – calmly and transparently.
Preparation
Photo documentation, measurements, surgical explanation, adjusting compression garments. Information on quitting smoking, medication, hygiene (groin area), companion, and daily life in the first few days.
Treatment/Surgery
Under general anesthesia, we remove excess skin/fat tissue, tighten and fix the envelope under low tension, and model a harmonious contour. Liposuction as planned for soft edges. Drains only if necessary; application of compression garments.
First follow-up care
Pain/swelling management, wound care (dry, frictionless environment is important), compression for 6 weeks, early gentle mobilization. Regular check-ups; activity is gradually increased.
Healing process
After one week, swelling and tension usually decrease; you should rest the inside and wear compression consistently.
After one month, daily life is usually manageable; you can start light sports upon approval.
After three to six months, contours and scars calm down significantly; feelings of tension continue to decrease.
After twelve months, the scar maturation is complete; the result appears mature.

Risks & Safety
The inner thigh area is a dynamic, moist-warm zone – here healing requires special care. In the first weeks, swelling, bruising, feelings of tension, and temporary changes in sensitivity are normal. Wound healing disturbances or edge openings can occur – especially with friction, nicotine, or previously stressed skin; we prevent this with tissue-conserving techniques, precise fixation, compression clothing, good hygiene, and regular check-ups.
Specifically, seromas, lymph stasis, scar abnormalities (widening), asymmetries, and rarely skin edge/fat tissue necrosis are possible. Regardless of this, there are general surgical/anesthesia risks (infection, postoperative bleeding, thrombosis/embolism). You can support the recovery by refraining from smoking, minimizing friction in care, consistently wearing compression clothing, and gradually increasing activity levels. In case of warning signs (one-sided severe redness, fever, increasing pain), please contact us immediately – you have a clear emergency pathway, we are reachable.

Combinations & Alternatives
Liposuction (when there is primarily excess fat)
Renuvion or tightening surgery in adjacent areas with laxity
Extended body lifting/Bodylift after massive weight loss (individual indication)
