Upper Eyelid Lift
Remove excess eyelid skin, open the eyes and subtly emphasize the eyelid crease – precise, unobtrusive and tailored to your facial harmony.
Overview of the treatment
The most important facts

Surgery Duration: approx. 45–60 min. Anesthesia: Local anesthesia ± sedation (general anesthesia upon request)
Thread pull: approx. Day 5–7

Suitable if...
Hooded eyelids can weigh down the gaze or make makeup application difficult.
In the evening, a feeling of heaviness or fatigue may become noticeable on the eyelids.
You desire a calm, natural eyelid crease – without a "done" appearance.
Giving up smoking and consistent aftercare can support healing.
Note: If there is also a low-lying brow arch, a brow lift may be advisable. We will clarify this in the consultation.
Methods & Variants
Remove excess skin, define eyelid crease:
Incision precisely in the natural upper eyelid crease; a fine strip of skin is removed, subtly emphasizing the crease.Fine correction of muscle/fat pads:
If necessary, a narrow muscle component is tightened and prominent fat pads are gently reduced – for a smooth eyelid contour.Brow–lid balance:
The position of the eyebrow is included in the planning; if there is a pronounced brow depression, a brow lift may be recommended either in combination or separately.

Process – Step by Step
Consultation
We discuss wishes and concerns, analyze eyelid skin, fat distribution, and brow position, and explain options, limitations, and the healing process – calm and transparent.
Preparation
Photo documentation, exact marking of the eyelid crease while sitting, information, advice on medications/blood thinners, cooling, sleeping position, and behavior in the first days.
Treatment/Operation
Under local anesthesia (possibly sedation), the incision in the eyelid crease will be made, the precise removal of skin, and – if planned – fine correction of muscle/fat pads. Skin closure with fine stitches, cooling, and final check.
Initial Aftercare
Targeted cooling intervals, ointment/drip therapy as planned, rest, and elevating the head. Suture removal from day 5–7, make-up after release, sun protection for the scar. Follow-up appointments are firmly scheduled.
Healing process
After a few days, swelling and bruising significantly reduce; the stitch removal takes place after about 5–7 days.
After two weeks, most traces are well concealable; makeup is possible after approval.
After one to three months, the scar appears soft and lighter; remaining swelling subsides.
After six to twelve months, the mature result is visible.

Risks & Safety
In the short term, swelling, bruising, a feeling of tension, and temporary dryness/tearing are common. Rarely, bleeding, asymmetries, conjunctival irritations, irritation of dry eyes, or scar anomalies can occur. We reduce risks through careful marking, tissue-conserving technique, clear cooling and care instructions, as well as close monitoring.
It is important to refrain from smoking, avoid blood thinners after consultation, and protect the scar from the sun. If you notice warning signs (sudden increasing pain, one-sided severe swelling, deterioration of vision), please report it immediately – you have a clear emergency protocol.

Combinations & Alternatives (optional)
Browlift for low eyebrow position
Lower eyelid lift for bags/wrinkles on the lower eyelid
Skin treatments (peels/laser) for fine wrinkles of the upper eyelid skin (staggered over time)
Botulinum for brow positioning and for forehead/glabellar lines (if necessary)
