Facelift
Lift sunk parties, define the jawline, and soothe the neck – naturally, not "pulled". We work in the depths (SMAS/platysma) for permanently harmonious contours.
Overview of the treatment
The most important facts

Operation Duration: approx. 3–5 hours (depending on findings)
Anesthesia: General anesthesia

Compression/Facelift Bandage:
1–2 weeks, taping as planned

Suitable if...
Chubby cheeks, undefined jawline and loose neck skin are concerning.
Fillers/Botulinum are no longer sufficient and you want a natural, long-lasting solution.
You bring realistic expectations, weight stability, and abstinence from smoking for healing.
Methods & Variants
SMAS-based Facelift (Standard)
Tightening/repositioning of the SMAS layer (depth) with moderate excess skin management. Goal: natural vector lifting of the cheek/jawline without pulling the expression.
MACS Lift (Short scar/vertical vectors)
For mildly to moderately sagging cheeks/jowls with a shorter scar. Focus on vertical lifting, quick recovery; selective indication.
Neck lift / Platysmaplasty
For neck bands, formation of the platysma, or significant skin/fat excess in the neck; can be combined with submental liposuction and tightening.
Additional fine contour
Submental liposuction, possibly energy-assisted tightening support in the neck (e.g., Renuvion in selected cases), autologous fat for gentle volume restoration (cheeks/upper lip), eyelid surgery or brow lift for a harmonious overall appearance.
Which combination makes sense will be decided after measurements, photographic documentation, and target image – focus: natural & proportional.

Process – Step by Step
Consultation
We discuss wishes and concerns, analyze the face/neck (skin, SMAS/platysma, volume), explain possibilities and limitations as well as the path to a natural, non-over-tensioned result – transparently and at a relaxed pace.
Preparation
Photo documentation and measurement, surgical plan (SMAS/MACS/neck lift, combination procedures), information, bandage/compression concept, notes on medication, nicotine, sleeping position (slightly elevated) and daily life in the first few days.
Treatment/Surgery
Under anesthesia, we prepare and reposition the SMAS/platysma layer, treat excess skin without tension, and place scars unobtrusively (in front of/behind the ear). Submental lipo/neck tightening or volume augmentation occurs according to plan. Drains only if necessary; application of bandage/compression.
First Aftercare
Pain/swelling management, bandage/taping according to scheme, cooling without pressure, sleeping with head elevated, wound checks and suture removal according to plan. Gentle activation from the 1st week, sports gradually after clearance.
Healing process
After one week, swelling/bruising is usually decreasing; bandages/tapings are reduced, short distances are possible.
After one month, the face appears socially acceptable; slight numbness/hardness may still exist.
After six months, contours are calm, scars are significantly faded, and sensitivity stabilizes.
After twelve months, the mature result is visible.

Risks & Safety
In the first weeks, swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tension as well as temporary changes in sensitivity are common. Specifically, bruises (to be recognized/treated early), nerve irritations (mostly temporary), asymmetries, scar abnormalities, or hairline changes may occur. Smoking increases the risk for wound healing disorders – consistent abstention from smoking is crucial.
We minimize risks through tissue-sparing techniques, working in the deeper layers (SMAS/platysma), low-tension skin closure, ISO-certified hygiene processes, and close follow-up care. You support the process with head elevation, pressure avoidance, gradual increase of activity, and reliable checks. In case of warning signs (unilateral increase in swelling/pain, severe redness, fever), please contact us immediately – you have a clear emergency route, we are reachable.

Combinations & Alternatives
Upper/Lower Lid Surgery, Brow Lift for the upper facial third frame
Submental Liposuction/Tightening for neck/chin
Autologous Fat for gentle volume compensation, Skin Treatments/CO₂ Laser for skin quality
Botulinum/Filler for fine lines or specific contour – not a substitute for SMAS lifting, but complementary reasonable
